Creating a management system for a refurbished smartphone and phone accessory store could be a major challenge. A used phone is much more complex to sell than a new one. It needs to be checked in, tested, assessed aesthetically and otherwise, returned to the supplier if necessary, repaired, or even reassessed… and then individually stored, tracked, and invoiced correctly when sold. Finally, the electronic invoice must be sent to the Revenue Agency’s exchange system, with any errors managed. If one of these steps gets stuck, the time it takes to fix things can wipe out the profit margin on that phone.
Furthermore, there are many other things to manage, such as purchasing accessories and components, which also require their own invoices and accounting, marketing, and customer care, without which the store simply can’t function.
And then there’s the connection to e-commerce and, lastly, managing pickup and home deliveries.
To accomplish all this, we needed a supplier capable of enabling it to evolve in real time, following and adapting to changing and growing needs. This is exactly what eLabor did for BeApp. It created a management system for refurbished smartphones in the form of a modern web application developed in Java EE and made available on our cloud in Software as a Service (SaaS) mode.
